The journal developed at the Museum of Art and Photography, Bangalore, as part of the youth engagement programme and collective with a goal of reflecting its collecitve and independent nature.

Its goal was to invite college students and young adults to contribute their work while exploring the intersections of art, culture, and youth, and in doing so, to create a space to engage in dialogue with young people and provide the opportunity to seek input and actively respond to that.

Anu Shree and Jayati laid the foundations for the journal in 2023 which then came to fruition with the launch of its first edition - Work in Progress.

Anu Shree Murali
Hey everyone :) I am Anu Shree, one of the Public Programmes Coordinators at MAP. I have a Master’s in International Cultural Heritage Management and a mastery over extra-dramatic early-2000s TV dramas. I love stories – whether in the form of history or a really good page-turner!

Jayati Srivastava
Hey there! I'm Jayati, a Public Programmes Coordinator at MAP. I'm all about connecting with young minds and crafting youth engagement programmes. When I'm not busy with that, you'll catch me baking, beachcombing for shells, or getting crafty with crochet—it's my latest obsession!
