BETWEEN THE LINES
Sarahfin is a multidisciplinary artist and writer from bangalore, india. She seeks inspiration from the world around her and has a keen interest in the occult, spirituality, existentialism and experimental literature. Most of her work carries strong themes of absurdism, and abstract lines and aims to tell the story of chaos, and seeks to find answers of “what it means to be.”
“Between the Lines” is a piece of visual experimental poetry, navigating the complexities of growing up and experiencing what it means to deal with rebellion, growth and self-expression. Growing up brown in a religious home, one is often subjugated to the absurdity of following very specific rules with very little wiggle room to grow. However, as one ages, a narrative shift can be seen here, and they begin to requisition things, unlearning and relearning, making mistakes continually. Being young, the process is never complete and may always remain a work in progress. Ultimately, the goal here is to move forward and to write your own story.
