ARU’s
TOMORROW’S YESTERDAY
Aru Jain
Concept Note:
Tomorrow's Yesterday is my personal exploration of the fluid and ever-evolving nature of family. This piece delves into the passage of time and the shifting dynamics of what I perceive as family, emphasizing that family is not defined by blood or place but by the connections and emotions shared with others.
At the heart of "Tomorrow's Yesterday" is my belief that time is both a relentless force and a gentle guide, shaping our experiences and relationships. The artwork depicts surreal and
dreamlike elements of past, present, and future coexisting, symbolizing the continuous journey of life.
The eye at the top of the artwork serves as a powerful symbol of constancy and perception. It represents the watchful presence of people in my life—a source of support, love, and belonging. This eye observes the ebb and flow of life, witnessing the addition of new members and the transformation of relationships over time.
This artwork is deeply personal, reflecting my own experiences with time and relations. It celebrates the wonderful people who enter my life and make me feel at home, reinforcing my
belief that home is truly where the heart is. "Tomorrow's Yesterday" is a tribute to the dynamic nature of family and the timeless love that binds us all.
Thank you for experiencing "Tomorrow's Yesterday." May it resonate with your own journey and the ever-changing tapestry of family in your life.
